The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a platform where individuals from all stakeholder groups meet as equals to discuss public policy issues related to the Internet. Although the IGF does not produce negotiated outcomes, it serves to educate and inspire decision-makers from both the public and private sectors. At their annual meetings, delegates share insights, discuss, and exchange best practices. The IGF’s goal is to foster a shared understanding of effective strategies for promoting Internet opportunities while minimizing risks and threats.
