The Brief

Frontline AIDS is a global movement igniting innovation that breaks through social political and legal barriers that stand in a way of a future free from AIDS. 

 READY is a movement of youth-led ad youth-serving organisations working with and for adolescents and young people living with and affected by HIV. 

iREADY is a project funded by the SPIDER Centre which promotes young people’s access to information on SRHR through ICT tools in Burundi and Mozambique. 

 During the final stages of the ready Burundi project. Frontline AIDS commissioned SHOW UP Communications to document the READY project in Burundi and develop a couple of modules on how to develop podcasts. 

 Primary audience CBOs particularly those led or working with young people with a mission related to SRHR. 

 Execution  

 We worked closely with the iREADY team at Frontline AIDS and the RNJ+ team based in Burundi to gather key learnings from the project. This was mainly via Skype calls in English, Swahili and French. The project took 30 days and a further 15 days to develop the modules.

    The Brief

    The African Utility Week is the leading conference and trade exhibition for African power, energy and water professionals. The annual conference takes place in Cape Town South Africa.  

    The 2019 event featured the addition of POWERGEN Africa, adding an expanded focus on Generation (Including renewables, off-grid, fossil fuels and nuclear) while still concentrating on transmission and distribution (including metering), new technologies (including storage, mini grids, micro grids, IOT and ICT systems) and of course water. 

     In 2018, Siemens launched an end-to-end distributed energy system as a solution to tackle Africa’s energy transition at its headquarters in Midrand South Africa. 

    Execution

    Show UP Communications was commissioned to provide content development services for the August issue of the August edition of African Renewal magazine specifically focussing on the highlights from the conference.
