Showing Up in 2025: Stories, Impact and Growth

December 19, 2025

2025, the year of growth, collaboration, and storytelling for Show Up Communications.

This year, we engaged in important conversations across the continent, supported initiatives that bridged divides, and celebrated the creativity of young Africans shaping the future.

In the first half of the year, we strengthened partnerships and amplified voices in global spaces, focusing on women in STEM and regulators working to advance ICT prosperity. These efforts reminded us that authentic communication is not just about visibility; it is about dignity and making an impact.

As the year progressed, we embraced the energy of youth and innovation. We supported initiatives to tackle malnutrition, participated in summits on AI and digital transformation, and highlighted African solutions to pressing global challenges. Each occasion reinforced the power of young voices and the importance of inclusive reform.

Towards the end of the year, we reflected on wellness, culture, and resilience. From the Fashion for Polio campaign to World AIDS Day, we stood alongside communities driving change. Our journey this year was not only about the campaigns we delivered but also about the people behind them. As a team, we grew stronger, welcoming new colleagues, celebrating graduations, and building connections through wellness and team-building activities. These experiences highlighted that caring for ourselves and each other is central to our work. These moments reminded us that our strength lies not just in our work but also in the relationships we nurture and the trust we build with one another.

As we close the year, we carry forward the lessons of balance, collaboration, and courage. Our commitment remains clear: to shape Africa’s story with honesty and purpose while continuing to create spaces where voices are heard, connections are strengthened, and change is made possible.

2025 Reflections

2025 was a year of connection, creativity, and impact. We joined global conversations that mattered, supported initiatives that bridged divides, and celebrated the voices shaping Africa’s future. At every step, our work reminded us that storytelling is more than visibility; it is about dignity, trust, and lasting change.

Highlights :

Quarter 1

  • We began the year by strengthening partnerships and launching campaigns that spotlighted Africa’s digital transformation and untold stories.
  •  We commemorated Women’s History Month by supporting iPRIS in celebrating women in STEM, creating content that amplified their voices and achievements.
  •  On International Women’s Day, we joined in honouring powerful African women whose insights continue to inspire change.

These early initiatives laid the foundation for the months ahead, positioning Show Up Communications as a trusted partner in advancing authentic narratives and preparing the ground for impactful projects across the continent.

Quarter 2

  • We supported the iPRIS Namibia workshop, where regulators from six countries came together to advance ICT prosperity and bridge the digital divide.
  • In Nairobi, we joined CGIAR Science Week, contributing to global conversations on food security and climate resilience.
  • Beyond events, we championed ethical storytelling, reminding ourselves and our partners that dignity and authenticity must remain at the heart of communications.
  • During Mental Health Month, we placed wellness at the heart of our work, encouraging simple daily habits to help keep our team balanced. Through team‑building sessions and shared practices, we strengthened not only our health but also the connections that make our work thrive.

Quarter 3

  • We supported the Fortify Forward Innovation Challenge, highlighting 24 African solutions tackling malnutrition through food fortification.
  • We also joined the WSIS+20 Forum and the AI for Good Summit, where Africa’s regulators and innovators shaped the digital future through discussions on AI governance and inclusive reform.
  • We continued to support iPRIS in its mission during a French cohort training in Luxembourg, equipping regulators with tools for inclusive ICT sectors.
  • We also provided media support for the Rockefeller Mission 300 Fellowship, amplifying efforts to expand electricity access to 300 million Africans by 2030.
  •  This quarter also marked growth within our own team, as we welcomed new members who brought fresh creativity and expertise.

This quarter carried the energy of youth and innovation, with fresh ideas shaping bold conversations across the continent. It was a season that reminded us of the power of creativity and the role of young voices in driving Africa’s future.

Quarter 4

  • The final quarter was vibrant and reflective. In October, we joined the Fashion for Polio Campaign in Kenya, where culture and creativity became powerful tools for collective action.
  • We supported the iPRIS Botswana follow‑up phase, advancing inclusive digital transformation with telecommunication regulators from across Africa.
  •  We joined in celebrating the International Day of the Girl Child with heartfelt storytelling.
  • In November, we continued supporting iPRIS in its mission to bridge the digital divide in Sub-Saharan Africa by participating in the peer-to-peer learning Cohort in Sweden.
  •  In December, we marked World AIDS Day, highlighting the WHO’s recommendation of injectable lenacapavir as a breakthrough in HIV prevention that offers dignity and choice to communities across Africa.
  • Within our team, we reaffirmed our commitment to wellness through medical check‑ups and health talks, creating space for reflection and connection.
  • We also honoured team milestones, including graduations, reflecting the growth of young communicators who continue to shape the future of our sector.
