The future of Africa’s energy sector will be shaped by one powerful idea: connection.
Building on the discussions of the 2026 event, Africa Energy Indaba 2027 will focus on the importance of being connected and cooperating in the context of a rapidly changing and increasingly uncertain world. For Africa to flourish, there needs to be an unprecedented intersection of purpose, framed by the context of African realities and cognisant of Africa’s resources. Physical connections are needed to allow energy to flow across the continent, optimising the application of Africa’s diverse energy resources, driving social and economic development throughout the continent, and ensuring that all Africa’s citizens can enhance their quality of life.
To achieve these aspirations, extensive human connections will be required at all levels of society. This human connectedness will underpin the cooperation needed for multi-national infrastructure projects to develop, energy trading markets to flourish, commercial entities to profit, and communities to develop.
Connectedness and Cooperation will liberate capital, inspire communities, stimulate commerce, protect the climate, unlock business and investment opportunities in the African Energy Sector and deliver a sustainable and acceptable quality of life for all Africa’s people.
The focus will be on the progress that can result from the application of enlightened policies, innovative technologies and enabling financial strategies, all leveraged by the indomitable spirit and “Can Do” determination of African entrepreneurs.
Africa Energy Indaba 2027 will not only shape dialogue but also drive actionable outcomes, from policy alignment and cross-border projects facilitation to investment commitments and strategic partnerships that accelerate implementation.
